Jaecoo J8 SHS

Omoda & Jaecoo are preparing to launch the Jaecoo J8 SHS, their most advanced hybrid SUV yet, in the UAE by January 2026. Built on the J7’s success, the J8 SHS will introduce the all-new Super Hybrid System (SHS) paired with ARDIS intelligent AWD for superior off‑road and urban capability. SHS combines a 1.5 L turbocharged petrol engine with dual motors to deliver 596 hp and 915 Nm torque, optimizing performance and efficiency across climates.

Launch

We expect the J8 SHS to debut in UAE by January 2026, available via Omoda & Jaecoo official showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across Northern Emirates.

Price

The Jaecoo J8 SHS price is not yet confirmed, though the SHS variant is anticipated to target a premium bracket, so it may likely start around AED 230,000–260,000 competing other six‑seater luxury SUVs.

The cabin comes with a panoramic cockpit with premium Nappa leather, 256‑color ambient lighting, ventilated and massaging seats in both rows, a 24.6-inch arch infotainment display (Qualcomm 8155 chip), Sony 14‑speaker surround sound, panoramic roof, and 540‑degree cameras. OTA updates, ambient air fragrance and V2L 3.3 kW external power add practical sophistication.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The J8 SHS is loaded with safety features like 10 airbags including central cabin airbag, a high‑strength 10‑ring safety cage, advanced Qiankun Level‑2 ADAS (adaptive cruise, lane change assist, auto parking, 360° lidar) and built for global 5-star crash performance.

The J8 SHS will rival premium SUVs like the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Nissan Patrol and Jetour T2, aiming to stand out with cutting-edge hybrid power and elevated technology.
